Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Has anyone ever heard of this setting? Anyone picked it up? Anything (good or bad) to say about it?

I heard it was inspired by Indian folklore, and that alone is enough to get me slightly interested...

Silverlion

QuoteOnce there were gods, and then there were dragons. But the gods grew bored and forged the garden of Creation as a source of amusement. Now Creation rules the gods and the dragons have fled. Time fills the universe like an infectious disease and the bleak ones thrive. Amid the chaos, the lives of men, dwarfs, elves and halflings seem a mere folly, and yet the fate of the universe lies in the hands of these four humble races. The balance of universal lore must be redressed.

Looks like a typical fantasy setting, but heavily detailed. I skimmed the freebie corebook:

But wasn't terribly impressed.

You do realize RPGNow, and Drivethru merged, right?

But I didn't look at RPGnow, although they sell things there, I didn't see the freebie.

They've started merging, it's not complete yet. Both still have separate store fronts.

Yeah, well I was thinking if you have issue with either store you'd now have issue with both (admittedly I liked Rpgnow's storefront better myself. Better than ugly orange)

(I liked RPGNow's storefront better, too).

I do like the name Middlemist--very pleasant sounding name.

The core book was OK.  Didn't really seem to stick out in any way I remember.

Different bands of code monkeys. the RPGNow site doesn't present the problems the DriveThruRPG one does.
