Former Traveller Alumnus and Journal of the Traveller's Aid Society Editor Loren Wiseman has passed away on Feb 15th. My condolences go out to his family and friends.

That's terrible news. I had hoped he was over theHill regarding his earlier health issues. Think he had trouble paying some of the doctor's bills.
He was a very decent person from the few interactions I had with him online. His writing and presence will be missed.
He will be missed.
RIP. He helped create one of the best scifi games ever.
The first generation is vanishing fast. :(
While I am not over-fond of his work on BURPS* Traveller, he was a skilled writer and designer and his interactions with me and other gamers on forums were thoughtful and professional.
* That started off as an actual typo, but I like it so much I may keep using it.

Drat. I was a big GDW fan and bought all the GURPS Traveller stuff mostly because of him (that and I never like the MT/TNE stuff) despite really hating GURPS
