Like the tin says, I'm looking for players to test an idea, He-Man and the MotU game over Roll20, either in Spanish or in English if you don't mind me not having the pronunciation I once had.
It won't be based on the original cartoon but in the Netflix series, video below in case you didn't watch it.
Definitely a good call on using the non-Revelations Netflix version. It's more ensemble-focused (vs. the 80's cartoon that was very main protagonist-focused) where the PCs each get super-charged in some fashion by the power of Greyskull (or Havoc).
Honestly, it's a far better spiritual successor than Revelations despite reimagining everything. It was also better received because it was upfront about its differences (often rather creative reinterpretations while still holding to the spirit (I am particularly fond of Ork-0), versus trying to claim it was a literal sequel while taking a giant dump on the source material.

Exactly why I choose it, it's not about a Super Hero and his/her sidekicks, in this version everybody is powerful enough without eclipsing the others.
I'm having a blast making the stuff I need to make.
It goes to show you CAN re-imagine something without turning it into shit.
I've only seen bits and pieces of the CGI series, since I don't have Netflix, but what I did see looked solidly done and well-suited for the target audience, which puts it ahead of Revelation and Pseudo-Ra. :) The series has been cancelled, so the 4th season's planned journey to Earth and introduction of the Evil Horde (which was apparently going to lean into the Horde's resemblance to classic monsters) won't happen. If Revolution crashes, we can say with some confidence that trying to introduce the Evil Horde is the death mark for a MotU revival. :)

So Netflix did the most stupid thing they could and cancelled the well received series... But not the deconstructed one...
This has to be some money laundering scheme or some other scam.

There might be toy issues involved, just like in 2002--I saw some reviews of the tie-in toys, and they looked cheap and slapdash, and distribution seems to be even spottier than for Origins and Masterverse. They might have dragged the cartoon down with them.

The game (IF I ever publish it) will be called LotU (Legends of the Universe). Because fuck Mattel and Netflix.

On the bright side, they ended it on a high note with Skeletor remaining a credible villain until the very end and before they had a chance to ruin it with the inevitable Woke elements all long running series seem to pick up.
Just view the coda with Hordak as an "and the adventure continues..." ending and its gonna be remembered fondly in a decade while Revelations will be rightly reviled for crapping all over a beloved favorite.

Yep! Fuck 'em in the eye (along with Hasbro & WoTC).
I'd looooove to play in a MotU game campaign in English.
I'd love for the tone to be more adult and less campy/child-focused preferably.

I don't do campy, but it IS a supers game, it's not darkgrim.

I'm not looking for darkgrim at all. I just don't want to mimic the more childish parts of the show and such. The image linked below is pretty much my ideal look for a MotU game.
You need to run this online and invite me, bro!

2 games that could handle this really well are Cartoon Action Hour season 3 and Prowlers & Paragons Ultimate Edition.

I agree on the childish parts, I linked to the video so ppl could see what I'm taking inspiration on for the powers, that image is dope!
The plan is to run it on roll20 or owlbear rodeo.

CCAH any edition is out, it was designed to mimic TV shows, I'm not doing that.
P&P Ultimate Edition? IIRC I own one edition of it but I don't remember which, let me check and I'll have an opinion on it.
You can use the mechanics in CAH S3 without making it simulate a show. Simulating the running of a cartoon show is not what I'm interested in either.
Some other candidates I've looked at are: Worlds Without Number, Cortex Prime (just like the system in Marvel Heroic Roleplaying) - writing up characters in the latter would be a breeze.
I have a bunch of character writeups a guy did for MotU for CAH S3.
Barbarians of Lemuria Mythic Edition is another excellent choice.
Have you read that MotU game that is in Spanish we talked about? I wonder if it is any good.

I'm in the process of translating it, never played anything with that system, but it seems to have the lore to a T.

WWN... Yeah, I can see it, it's OSR-ish enough.
Cortex Prime / MHR: Never played it.
I was thinking of using Guardians https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/172576/Guardians (https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/172576/Guardians)
OSR mechanics, race + class + buy your superpowers.
Or maybe a pointbuy system that's not HERO or GURPS. ACTION! or OpenCore/OpenAnime come to mind.
Edited to add:
P&P is pointbuy no?

BoL... There's even a free superhero game based on it https://barbariansoflemuria.webs.com/League%20of%20Heroes%20v0.H.pdf (https://barbariansoflemuria.webs.com/League%20of%20Heroes%20v0.H.pdf) But I have never played that game in particular, but BoL does sound like a good fit too.
Okay, I have the builds for Mutants & Masterminds, for anyone interested that doesn't have the book here's the SRD:

Well, extracted the text in Spanish to a txt, opened it with libreoffice and exported it to a pdf, then used Google Translate to translate the pdf and now I'm just giving it a little editing to get the correct paragraphs and formatting the tables while fixing Google's translation errors.
It might be done next Friday.
50% done, now at the slowest part of it. Today's game day so I'll get back to it tomorrow.

I really liked the 2002 series. "Serious" enough, but not so serious as to make a mockery of a kid's cartoon by taking it too far.

Lots of those who saw it liked the 2002 series. But the toy line flopped, so it died prematurely.

I used to be a M&M fan but find it a bit too crunchy for my tastes typically these days. Are you willing to share the character builds? I'm partial to DC Adventures / M&M 3e for M&M overall.

Sure! I also like less crunchy games overall, I'm just going for what most have said they would like as the system.
I could see M&M working in play if we have iconic character writeups. In play it isn't too bad at all. Building characters can get a bit crunchy depending on what you are trying to model.

One of the reasons I gravitate to Race + Class + Level systems.
