4 Days Left

I know a lot of people joined in on the Dwarven Forge kickstarter (I did too, it was a great deal).

The Itar's Workshop kickstarter is a great one as well.  But, for me at least, it's not for the Terrain, but it's for the Accessories!

This is the exact sort of accessories which, for me at least, were missing from the Dwarven Forge kickstarter.  And they are CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP!

For example, these bookshelves are $2 each (and that's it - you pledge just $2, and you get a bookshelf):

These treasure chests are just $2 for the set:

Tons of cheap, good dungeon accessories!

For me, dungeon terrain is useful for play.  This is the stuff my players tend to interact with, to make the dungeon environment more engaging.  When they see a pillar, they hide behind it.  When the see crates, they hide in them, or run on top of them to get higher ground, or stack them to reach a secret hatch, or smash them into monsters, or use them to block line of site, etc..  When they see a treasure chest, it's becomes a focus for the room - the thing the monsters are guarding.  When they see a bookcase, they may knock it down to block a monster's path.   And a pool of water that they see seems to have more impact than a pool of water I describe.  This stuff helps with play - it's certainly not necessary, but it is useful.  Have others found accessories to have the same impact they've had for my games?

I love miniatures. I spent hours each week painting them, trying to improve. I kind  of want these accessories but to me they mark a tipping point into doll house territory where I feel awkward. Which is odd because I am cool with hills, trees and buildings for wargaming, its something about the little chairs and tables that throws me.

People should stop making all these gorgeous minis. I don't use minis and I never will, so I all can do is look on with envy. Quality KS.

Yeah this is cool, I like the door setup they have.  Will probably pull the trigger on this one, thanks for the heads up.

I hadn't seen a secret door before in these things.  And I do like how their doors are interchangeable, and removable.

5 hours to go, and they hit $75K.  Wow.  That's HUGE for a small company like them.  I really like that you can just buy whatever add-on or accessory you want, rather than having to buy a package of stuff.

EDIT - Wow, ended at over $85K! Apparently that is substantially more than they make in a year, and it may be enough to devote full time to that business now.  Good for them!
