I brought mint copies of both Basic and Expert last year, still with their original receipts in them. Lots of nostalgia.

Sadly this is just the book - no module or dice or box.
But not bad for $20!
$20 seems a little high to me, but maybe I'm out of touch with pricing.
In any case, good buy. My favorite version of D&D, and the only one I'd ever want to run.
Which book? Basic or Expert?
WOTC has the books and modules up for sale as PDFs if you need them. Think for like 5$ each. Not sure.
Basic - I've got B/X both as .pdfs already, just wanted to get a physical copy.
That's the 1-3 level one right? Just asking because it's the one I have.
I didn't know he or his family were for sale!
Jake: Your women. I want to buy your women. The little girl, your daughters... sell them to me. Sell me your children!

If you have not allready then grab Keep on the Borderlands and Isle of Dread. Keep in particular has more rules in it on how to play.
Great purchase. B/X was kind of a revelation to me in regards to D&D when I finally got a copy. It gave me very little reason to run a D&D that is not B/X.

A fine introductory method so you can later learn how to play AD&D!
I kid.
Those are my favorite versions of Basic/Expert, hands down. You'll have hours of fun. Enjoy!
I've already got B2 in .pdf format... may have B1 as well. Not sure about X1.
And it's not like this is new to me - Moldvay was the first D&D version I had.
