In my rpg, people can play as expert skill characters, martial artists, spell casters, supers, cybrogs, and some other crap too probably.
It is a character point system, and there is enough material to spend character points on to keep the game going for a long period of time, with the exception of expert skill characters.
I have some decent rules for writing up allies and allied groups for player characters. I was thinking of also coming up with rules like the Vampire rules for Influences as well. Then, anyone with enough points spent into their skills commands enough respect to gain those allies and influences as a reduced point cost. It would give the Expert something to build up without having to stretch for new skills to improve.
While other characters continue to improve themselves, the expert would focus more on his influence in the world.
What do you think?
Anyone have any ideas for a special set of abilities for skill characters?
Sorry that post reads like shit. I'm tired. And if someone wants to move it to design, feel free.
When *making a generic system, I look at other things and think 'Can I make this in here?'.
