Having read the rules for In Harms Way: Dragons, I know that my group won't be all bouncy-happy-crazy about how cool some bits are (even though I am). They looked seriously askance at the complexity of Dark Heresy, as an example.
So I decided to strip the system down and retool it for their tastes, while trying to keep the flavor mostly intact. I've already showed off the dragon-fighting rules in another short-lived thread.
Here's my retooled character creation. (http://www.amagi-games.org/tiki-download_file.php?fileId=36)
Note that this is only a draft. I'm really not sure about Fervor yet; I suspect it might need to be limited to risking X fervor dice per roll. The rest seems to be ticking over about as intended, though playing through it will be required.
Just a toy for you; if you have any thoughts, I'd love to hear 'em.
(Uhm. Maybe this should go in design, at this point? Shit, I don't know. Never put a set of houserules this severe out there before.)
You and I may be the only people here who have read IHW: Dragons, Levi... :D

I've just taken a cursory glance through your chargen rules, and I like them. I'm familiar with a couple of previous iterations of IHW, and I appreciate the streamlining of the character creation, which I'd always found a bit cluttered and flustering (sorry, clash).

That's why more than one person writes RPGs. People have different tastes. I have no problem with that.

I purchased the PDF about a week ago, and in my alone time I am reading what I can digest. It's awesome, and would love to run a game, but alas there are no gamers with free time, in my area to play. That is why I find myself on PBPs a lot more lately. So I will have to force my husband and possibly bribe a few friends into a game. I can only hope my admiration for the game, actually makes them interested in play without coaxing.
BTW, nice alternate rules. I will take a look again once I have finished up the book.
