That 5e gets one or more settings, instead of just railroad adventures or campaigns.

That RQ6 gets a cool new name and continued support.

That Mongoose Traveller 2e doesn't suck.

That Prime Directive for Mongoose Traveller comes out, and if 2e sucks that it's 1e/Classic-compatible.

That Raiders of R'lyeh comes out and rocks.

That Rifts for Savage Worlds comes out and rocks.

That The Auran Empire for ACKS comes out and rocks.

That Kevin Crawford writes and releases a full-fledged Tékumel RPG.

That I finally get back on the GMing saddle.

Luca

Godbound. By far my most anticipated product.

Delta Green. I backed the whole line, can't wait to get the books in my hands.

For the "probably never going to happen" list, a Sine Nomine variant of Jovian Chronicles (i.e. Gundam-like mecha setting).

David Johansen

A nautical adventures and naval combat book for D&D 5e.

Rolemaster Next finally released.  I'm not sure my name would be in the credits at this point but I've enjoyed watching the public playtest confirm my position on every point I was shouted down on.  I guess I should have listened to Nicholas about trusting the process but that would make it three wasted years instead of one at this point.

Put me down for an omnibus re-release of Star Frontiers under the original mechanics with the original art.  Re-integrate the new races and rules from Dragon like Tanks A Lot and Tanks Again and put in a couple setting related adventures but keep the book under 300 pages.  RCSF that's what I'm talking about.

The new edition of Car Wars.  Please let it be good and released in an intelligent and comprehensive format.  I don't think SJ will ever touch miniatures again but a car of each size and some peg on guns would be lovely.

Quote from: TristramEvans;870972A new edition of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay is released that goes back to the system/setting of WFRP 1st/2nd edition or uses a variation of the Runequest 6 system.

Unfortunately, that's not likely to happen with Games Workshop relegating the Old World to IP for miscellaneous game properties (card games, video games). I predict they'll eventually spin off the 4E license to another company outside of Fantasy Flight, fully adopting a post-End Times RPG. We're fortunate to have a very lively community, albeit distinctly niche, that continues to create homebrewed Old World lore over at Strike to Stun.

That being said, ZWEIHÄNDER Grim & Perilous RPG soldiers onwards to adopt an old school feel/new school appeal with its world-agnostic approach, putting its own unique spin on the WFRP 1e/2e ruleset. It stands to be the first published, fully-fledged retro-clone of Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay's ruleset.
No thanks.

I got so little done, gaming-wise, in 2015, that my hopes for 2016 are simple: run regularly, play occasionally, get an adventure out the door.
Wampus Country - Whimsical tales on the fantasy frontier

"Describing Erik Jensen\'s Wampus Country setting is difficult"  -- Grognardia

"Well worth reading."  -- Steve Winter

"...seriously nifty stuff..." -- Bruce Baugh

"[Erik is] the Carrot-Top of role-playing games." -- Jared Sorensen, who probably meant it as an insult, but screw that guy.

"Next con I\'m playing in Wampus."  -- Harley Stroh

Hence why it's in 'hopes' and not 'predictions'.

That BESM makes a comeback of some sort

That VTM 4th Edition bombs so badly they scrap it and go back to a V20 or otherwise pre-Revised model for the setting.

That Ravenloft gets a 5e setting book

My RPG wish list for 2016...

Well first and foremost, I want to see new Witch Hunter material. My campaign has at least another year or two of road ahead of it, but can always use more gas in the tank. This year I'd like to see Paradigm pivot away from updating first edition material and get back to creating new stuff for the system. Poland, Eastern Europe, Africa, and a Transyvania mega adventure have all been thrown around as possiblities. So any of that would make me happy.

I'm looking forward to seeing what refinements Roll20 introduces and hope to find time to incorporate them into my game.

Looking forward to arguing with my wife about how much money I can throw at the inevitable 7th Sea 2nd edition Kickstarter.

I want to see what the Design Mechanism has in store for the Classic Fantasy update. I'm hoping I'll finally discover something that can scratch that old Mythus itch without pouring hours of blood and sweat into it.

I'm looking forward to a new edition of Perilous Journeys for the same reason.

And assuming that doesn't happen, I'll be watching 5e and FAGE to see which is better suited to my tastes.

I'd love to see more game materials geared for 17th century historical adventures. And always looking for new ideas to help me improve as a GM.

And I'll be keeping a close eye on Savage Worlds.

Other than that? I'm always ready for surprises.

I hope that Mongoose Publishing does not get sued by Disney for some IP transgressions in MgT 2e.

It'll be the first kickstarter I ever back. I'll admit, having seen the oodles of kickstarter failures and ripoffs I'm a little nervous.

Godbound.

The complete destruction of Onyx Path.

More Pundit political posts just to piss off a few people in the tread.

I'm pretty sure Wick is no stranger to kickstarters, so the fail rate should be low. That said, if you are worried, check the add-ons. You may be able to stick to the PDFs originally and add on hard copies at the end. Also, stick to PDF versions of any stretch goals. Keep your investment low and maximize your rewards.

Or, just wait for the accompanying thread around here. I'm sure we'll has it out.

I'd like to see Warlords of the Apocalypse get released. Not likely.
