Title: Halloween Plans?

Hello all!

I'm wondering who here is planning to run something particular for Halloween? And what?

Nothing this year. But bringing up Halloween on a D&D game board reminds me of a favorite Halloween of years past.

1992.  We were in college, and after an entire day of paintball wars (single shot pump action pistols, none of that automatic spray the woods with paint crap for us), we got ready for a whole long night of D&D.

Anyhow, we're all drinking and rolling dice and on the third floor of this guy's apartment.  We hear the knock on the door of trick-or-treaters, but we're all too tired and drunk to go down and up to answer it.  Besides, all we had was beer to give them anyhow, and we weren't parting with the beer.

Next thing you know, his window gets pelted with half a dozen eggs.  We look out the window, and it was a bunch of high school kids, too old to be trick or treating in the first place, taunting us like the frenchman from Monty Python's Holy Grail.

Being all adrenalined up from a successful D&D slaughter, we all looked at each other, finished our beers, grabbed our paintball guns, and proceeded to hunt down and shoot the punks for the next hour, all over the neighborhood.

Best Halloween D&D night ever.

I'm trick-or-treating with the kids. Nothing gaming related on the horizon.

Vandalism. Public intoxication. Assault and battery.

Sounds like a hoot.

I'll be stuck working a booth at the church Halloween gathering.

My wife will make me wear some kind of costume, of that I'm certain.

Man, I hate this holiday with a passion. I roll to disbelieve!!

Now that's irony.

I'll be at a wedding - Halloween-themed, and populated mostly by gamers anyway.  No special adventure plans this season, unfortunately.

My ass will be working as it is wont to do on a weekend.

But I am gonna do some form of Halloween Cookie House miniatures battle sometime before it, probably at the Bardic Night so I can get tons of people infected by my mixture of genius and stupidity.

What your minis kill on the house you get to eat.  Last year it was Warhammer 40K based, and the previous year was a Gingerbread house Christmas Battletech one.

This year I am debating either Wings of War or Horrorclix.

HorrorScape (HeroScape, get it?) scenario where as long as the bad guys hold the castle, their fallen enemies become zombies. There will be more to it.
Start that about 1, get ready for tricks and treats about 5, and eat candy and watch old Universal or Hammer pictures till waaaayyyy too late to get up for church.

There's going to be a little game convention that weekend at the Air Force Academy, but there just aren't enough Halloweens with your kids in one lifetime, so I guess I'm going to let the con go by this time.

I'd throw myself from the nearest bridge if it were Halloween all-year round.

Better yet, I'd figure out how to do an inverted Death Star superlaser so that I could do the world a favor. :D

OK, not sure how much to admit here. I've stick-on pirate tattoos, a Captain's hook, two bags of candy warts, spray on cobwebs and October's just started. May have to update.

Added some jelly hearts ( bleed goo when you squeeze them) and a pirate Captain's coat. Guess that totals the plan to go as a mermaid :(

pulling the trigger on the Dead to get that out, attending parties outside the 4-wall confines, and having fun.

Planing a raid on the lair of Joethelawyer for his collection of rpgs. Barkeep at the Golden Dragon said that he had just plundered some very nice loot and I think we should 'distribute' that wealth....
