Title: Giving credit in a game - chargen funnel
Post by: Vic99 on August 05, 2021, 02:33:11 PM
It appears that if I'm creating a publishable d20 game, I can use the open gaming license to do so as long as I add certain legal phrases and/or citations.

It seems that Dungeon Crawl Classics coined the phrase "funnel" to mean:

-Make 4 characters at zero level
-Run them through an adventure
-Promote the survivors to first level.

Would I have to credit or cite that funnel concept if I publish an rpg? -or- Is this term or method common enough that I don't have to?  Anyone with experience with this or an rpg lawyer - no, not that kind of rules lawyer (HA). Thanks.
