Early just inside of the Vendors room door:

Me and a friend, she and her husband run Sea Dog studio games that makes the miniatures game 'Sail Power':

MORE from Friday the 18th....
That miniatures game, one more shot of it:

Sail Power, the miniatures game:

This is a newer game called "Wild West Exodus" - it mixes Cowboys, Aliens, the Old West, steampunk, and mad scientists all together. Reminded me of the movie "Cowboys & Aliens", might make a good RPG campaign setting :

Next post - someone this forum has talked about a lot in arguments....
Any comments?
Questions?
Originally I didn't know I was going to be able to post any pictures at all.
Oh and there are more pictures coming...

This one I took so we have a face to go with the name. This guy is Vincent Baker - yeah, THAT guy. Author of "Dogs in the Vineyard" and the infamous "Poison'd" games. Weird experience chatting with him when I realized 'who' he was.

As I noted elsewhere he certainly looks like an RPG designer.
And these days I think Baker is best known as the designer of AW and all the PbtA games it spawned.
I didn't realize the wargaming assets were so elaborate at these cons. I assume that level of extravagance is unusual?

I think GenCon is where all the wargaming companies and wargamers show off their big displays--that's what GenCon reports in DRAGON suggested 25 years ago, at least. :)
Anyone go to or hear anything about Pelgrane Press' "Gaming Saves the World" seminar on Thursday? I'm asking out of morbid curiosity.
Allright! Good Deal! Thanks for the pics!!!
Nice pics.
Will call is for noobs. Get everything through the mail.

One of the people in the picture is not a 'noob' - but she took at least two planes to get to Indiana to see her Gen Con friends. No way the mail would have worked out for her in time.

MORE Friday pictures....
This T-shirt booth is run by a couple I know and their 5 year old son. They are called JBM Press - stands for 'Junior Bird Man'. A lot of gamer and geek oriented t-shirts. They also make the Gamer Badges. (like scout merit badges in look and style):

This picture is NOT from my camera - a local TV or Newspaper reporter took and its the shot in the article I posted the link for in the other thread. Yes, thats me in my Steampunk Casual look:

This is Lucas Field - where the NFL team plays. It is covered with gaming areas and the Gen Con Museum that is also a kind of Dungeons & Dragons History walk as well. :

...and....

How did I get turned sideways???
EDIT: Could an Admin or moderator figure out some way to turn that picture right side up?
Thank You in advance....
- Ed C.
Okay, these are all items on display in the 'History of Gen Con" tour (and gaming too):

That man? Thats Frank Mentzer himself leading the tour - I literally bumped into this group as it was happening. Yes, Red Box D&D Mentzer:

In above picture he was talking a LOT about the early days of TSR and Dungeons & Dragons. The original Dungeon Master's Guide painting is in that display case.
Marc Miller's personal copy of the very first TRAVELLER black box is behind him...

Of course my favorite game was included in the museum:

I hope you mean Ghostbusters.
I will always be fond of Mentzer for his great work on the Red Box.
