So the update in brief: yesterday, Lion & Dragon was released for sale on OBS (https://www.rpgnow.com/product/226022/Lion--Dragon), and it has been a big success!
I personally saw it get as far as #2 on the Bestselling Titles list on RPGnow (it's now at #3, for the moment). Clearly, people were excitedly anticipating this OSR game of Medieval Authentic Roleplaying. Some for it's non-vancian magic system based on real medieval occultism, some for its details on folklore, culture, etc.; and some for its full on grittiness (one fan described it as "Nightmare Iron-Man Survival Mode", though that's really not how I would describe it... maybe its how someone not used to Old-school might, though).

So if you haven't picked it up yet, go check it out! You only THINK you're playing "medieval fantasy" until you play Lion & Dragon!
But that's not all for today! I know that not everyone is a fan of Medieval-Authentic hyper-realist emulation.... some of you prefer Gonzo!
Lucky for you, I love them both, so today we also have just released RPGPundit Presents #11: Crazy Wizards (http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/228699/RPGPundit-Presents-11-Crazy-Wizards)!
Jeez, seriously? We've done 11 of these already?
Anyways, "Crazy Wizards" is a collection of a brief biography of 10 different utterly Crazy Wizards! You get their backstory, and each one comes with either a new spell, a new magic item, or more!
There is:
Fuxi and his Plastromancy spell (material component: setting a turtle on fire)
Shivarud and his Death Dance
Tyanus and his Rainbow Transfiguration
Joe the All-Powerful and his stolen magic items
Plantina, Mistress of Spiders
Master Dong, and his Eight-Element Circle of Reflection
Manny the Neutral, and his Cone of Neutrality
Gabal Godkiller and his Aura of Menace
The Sea Priestess and her table of random swords
Honorius III and his Grimoire
So go check out "Crazy Wizards" on DTRPG (http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/228699/RPGPundit-Presents-11-Crazy-Wizards)for just $1.99! Or the Precis Intermedia store (http://www.pigames.net/store/product_info.php?cPath=136&products_id=893) for the same price.
Groovy. I'll wait with great anticipation for whenever you get enough of these together to put out a hard copy volume.
Lurker popping in to say that Lion & Dragon is fantastic! Got the PDF a couple days ago and have been devouring it happily.

Thank you so much! And welcome to theRPGsite!
Please spread the word about L&D, I appreciate it.
Well, reading it now. Do you want me to write a review:D?
Looks like a great addition to Dark Albion!
Looking forward to reviews, particularly discussions of actual play!

Sure, reviews are welcome.

It's the natural complement to Dark Albion, though they're two separate products that do not depend on each other. You don't need to buy both to play either, but hey, why wouldn't you buy both? They're both awesome!
Ordered the hardcover as my Christmas present to myself. For whatever reason the price was nearly the same for the softcover, so I figured it will go nicely with my Dark Albion hardcover. Can't wait to check it out.

These totally 'leverage' off each other - if you have one you owe it to yourself to get the other

They do, although I get a little bit of a feel of some duplicative material in spots ... which isn't entirely unexpected given how it all rolled out. Definitely a nice match to Dark Albion. If I were to start my campaign over, I'd likely use the Lion & Dragon ruleset.
Got my softcopy via Amazon earlier today. Ran about $8 with a gift cert work handed me, so pretty good value.

OK, I'll get to writing as soon as I finish reading it:).
I'm only going to write one review, but would you prefer me posting it on my blog, here, on Drivethru, or submitting it to TBP:D?

The stuff that overlaps is some of the character creation (from the Appendix P part in Dark Albion), the summoning rules in the magic section (but not really any other part of the magic section, which is radically original for the OSR), and the equipment section (which is not identical to Dark Albion, as it's expanded and revised, but is still drawn from the same basic setup).
So I'd say about maybe 20% of L&D is somewhat duplicative (if that's a word) to Dark Albion. But that's mostly so you don't absolutely have to own both books, and so that even if you do you cut down on having to flip between them. The other 80% is really really original stuff, that is totally complementary to the stuff in Dark Albion.

Well, why not post the same review in all those places?

I must get a look at this. I probably made a mistake somewhere.

Because I'm pretty sure that at least some of them have rules against doing that.

Really? I'm surprised by that unless somebody is paying you for the review. I'd double check that. If you submit a review and are not receiving consideration I don't think there should be rules against you posting it on your blog.
I ordered the hardcover so I'm waiting for it to show up. I have the PDF but it's really hard for me to read gaming PDFs I need dead trees. When I get it I'll review it for YouTube.
At the very least you have GOT to post a review on TBP. :D

That would be priceless.

It was at //www.drivethrurpg.com if that helps. I compared prices at a few places to try to get the best deal. I think the difference at that site was maybe $3 or $4 (American money) so I opted for hardcover as that tends to last longer in my hands than a paperback would.

If anyone was paying me for the review, I'd have written separate reviews:D!

That would be fun, yes.
