This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I noticed a British RPG thread the other day. It got me thinking about existing British (and European) RPGs. Is anyone playing the following:

1. Dragon Warriors (new or old version)
2. Fighting Fantasy (regular or advanced)
3. Maelstrom
4. Squadron UK/Golden Heroes
5. The Dark Eye
6. Agone

One Horse Town

I played DW a few times earlier in the year.

You've left out WFRP, although i guess it's fair enough not to think of it as British anymore.

Age of Fable

I think the Dark Eye is a translation of a German game.

Yeah, after 1E, I think it's changed.

How much different is the Mongoose version of Dragon Warriors, from the original 1980's books?

Silverlion

I own Maelstrom (the Puffin Book.) I used to own Sorcery! (Steve Jackson, that one--is British IIRC) I'd like to pick up Fighting Fantasy, at some point.

Yet actually play them? I'm not sure I ever will. I'm the primary GM in my group these days, and while I like those games, I like a LOT of games, and often just end up running my own.

Treasure RPG is 100% made in Scotland. At this time of year we'd much rather it was made in Hawaii or California but that's life.

Almost the exact same, except in a different format.
Read my blog, Monsters and Manuals, for campaign ideas, opinionated ranting, and collected game-related miscellania.

How was your experience with it?
Grając zaś w grę komputerową, być może zdarzyło się wam zapragnąć zejść z wyznaczonej przez autorów ścieżki i, miast zabić smoka i ożenić się z księżniczką, zabić księżniczkę i ożenić się ze smokiem.
