Did you buy the GURPS corebooks lately in Amazon? If you did, please tell me, which printing did you get?

I'm asking because I would like to buy the corebooks (again) and I would like to make sure that I get GURPS Characters 2nd printing and GURPS Campaigns 3rd printing. I already have the 1st printing of both corebooks and I heard there have been some problems with the 2nd printing of GURPS Campaigns.

So tell me, if I ordered them would I get GURPS Characters 2nd printing and GURPS Campaigns 3rd printing?

If you do have problems with the binding SJ Games will replace the book in question for free.

I bought mine over a year ago and got the good printing, so I doubt they even have any 1st printings in stock.

As far as I know, the 1st printings were the dodgy ones.

I'd also be surprised if they had any 1st printings left at SJGames themselves, though with Amazon you never know. See here for what to do if you get a dodgy version.

I bought GURPS Characters and Campaigns at my FLGS. Both fell apart, and SJGames replaced them free of charge. My second copy of Characters fell apart, and they replaced that, too. The replaced ones were all 1st printings - the bindings were dodgy. The replacements all arrived within a fortnight, in one case in six days, which is pretty fucking good for USA to Australia.

So just buy whatever is cheapest and then if the book is not well-made, get them to replace it.

By-the-way...the fact that replaced my bad 1st printing.  copy FREE OF CHARGE and with NO HASSLE involved - cemented my like of the company .

 Its not that I'm just a "GURPS Fanboy" - its that I actually got very good cusatomer service from them.

 My more cynical friend , who is a player in my campoaign - also got his copy replaced free of charge. He was rather pleasantly shocked that they did ask for the bad copy in exchange.

I did last year about this time, and they were 2nd Printing.  No issues.
