Title: (d20) Freebie over at rpgnow
Post by: ancientgamer on January 08, 2008, 05:54:22 PM
I don't know how many people already know this but rpgnow is offering a free PDF from Malhavoc Press, When the Sky Falls (http://www.rpgnow.com/product_info.php?products_id=675&it=1).  I normally don't shill but I am a fan of free stuff.

I usually don't agree with PDF giveaways, but I downloaded it.  It's actually pretty cool, and is making me think of getting Requiem for a God.

When the Sky Falls and Requiem for a God are two of the best game supplements I've ever bought. Concise and imaginative. While many companies put out overly specialized supplements, these two demonstrated just how good a supplement that focused on a fairly narrow subject could be if done with imagination and style.

This turned out to have some really good ideas in it, even for primarily non-d20 GMs (such as myself).  Nice work, and a very good freebie!

I might use some of these ideas for Warhammer FRP, something akin to another "Mordheim Incident", only bigger.

FYI - The Pie Incident an adventure for Squirrel Attack is also available for free download over on YGN (http://www.yourgamesnow.com/). Several other publishers have joined in as a celebration of YGN's one year anniversary.
