Title: Classic D&D comic ads

Man, these bring back memories. :keke:

"Old Zenopus' tower was destroyed by the local lord when goblins were seen dancing on the parapets but the cellars beneath may hold untold riches of the old wizard, just waiting for an adventurer down on his luck such as you to win through guile and skill..."

I guess the quest did end there 'cause this sixth (and last?) ad features an entirely new set of characters...

A ranger and a gnome thief in an ad for Basic and Expert D&D?

Wow ... those bring back memories.  :haw:

Most of those were done by Bill Willingham, but the first one wasn't.  Anyone recognise that artist?

For some reason, I reallly dig the first one. It is just so quaint. :haw: Also, in another (B&W) version of it, "Indel the elf" was called "Tweed the elf".

For some reason, the butt-shot of Saren stands out in my mind. :)

Has anyone ever had a dragon encounter like that?

I was looking for the rest of these -- thanks for posting them! :)

The one with the werewolves is my favourite.
