Title: [Ars Magica] Bundle of Holding
Post by: The Butcher on March 06, 2014, 05:47:44 AM
Ars Magica is one of those "best games I've never played" but the current Bundle of Holding deal (http://bundleofholding.com/index/current) is really intriguing.

Hmmm, that's weird. The only rulebook it offers is the 4th edition, which is free.

The 5th edition was apparently in a previous bundle of holding...

The new bundle of holding would be worth it just for Triamore, which is one of the better supplements ever released for the game, and which I still get a lot of use for in 5e.

Best damn magic system out there.

That particular bundle was redone just this week, you've missed it... twice.

But the expansion materials are probably worth the money on their own. I don't play 5th, but apparently it's backwards-compatible, so... yeah.

Eh, if they didn't offer the rulebook, some folks would complain that it's not included. :)

I just bought a physical copy of 5th edition and the Heirs to Merlin and Triamore supplements look like they would be very useful. Not sure about the bonus ones though, would they still be a good buy for someone running 5e?
