I like super games and tend towards the darker, "Iron Age" side the spectrum so this sounded interesting. But I have limited funds right now so I want to look into a bit more before investing in it. Also I'm not really looking for a new supers system so it would be for setting information to hack into my favorite one (Hero System).

Looks more like Dark Age era supers.
If Im going Dark Age style then Id probably use Aberrant. If you are familiar with other White Wolf baser mechanics then its fairly easy to get into.
I have Aberrant, hated the mechanics but the setting had some promise once you cleaned up some of the White Wolf-isms (IMO). Urban Heroes does have a similar feel judging from the video.
I think "Dark age" and "Iron Age" might be synonymous. But jargon changes so fast maybe I'm behind the times?

1: If the WOD rulesets Aberrant is the only one I liked.
2: Its primarily been called the Dark Age by the mainstream. Rare anyone calls it iron age or modern age.

Weird, I've honestly never heard it referred to as "Dark Age" before, at least not on the comics discussion and such I haunt going along with Gold, Silver, Bronze Age labels. There were certainly other less flattering labels (Shit Age, Grimdark Age, etc). But its not a big deal as long as its clear what we're talking about.

Some people keep to the metals, Gold, Silver, Bronze, etc. for those people it's still the Iron Age. Others see a difference between the Dark Age, starting in '86? with Dark Knight Returns and Watchmen and ending (depending on who you talk to) in 1996 with the end of Sandman, the creation of Kingdom Come and the big comic crash, or 2000 when the first Ultimate Marvel (Spiderman I think?) heralded the end of the crash and the beginning of the Modern Age.
So either Dark Age/Modern Age or Iron Age.
Generally, if you see the differences being Tone, then you'll roll with Dark Age and Modern. If you see the differences being the crazyass neverending continuity changes in order to reboot the Heroes and break up the decades long storyline barriers to entry, then it's all Iron Age and the tone difference isn't worthy of an "Age" descriptor.
