This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I remain cautiously optimistic yet as soon as I see any rpg company saying they also plan to sell dice. Makes me wonder if they plan to jump on the propiaratry dice yrend thst some rpgs are currently. If that's the case I have no interest. Now if I can run the rpg with my regular dice without buying a app or needing to convert from a table I will probably buy it.

It makes me wonder if they are going to use Ubiquity since they have a Space 1889 Ubiquity version and make dice for that too.  Not funky dice, but styled dice.
Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

I'm surprised Ubiquity is not used more in rpgs. I can live with styled dice. Funky dice not so much anymore.

Ubiquity dice are kind of funky in that they basically emulate throwing a number of dice and counting the number of even results. There's dice for one (white), two (red) or three dice (blue).

Quote from: Baulderstone;980615As I said earlier, my memories of the game are somewhat hazy, but I remember it enough to agree that it was definitely not cyberpunk in any way.

Well, I just mean in terms of the megacorps and the near-future technology. If the mundane tech were just a bit more advanced, it would be cyberpunk.
