1: grodog's GaryCon XVII and Greyhawk News reports!
My GaryCon summary and latest Greyhawk News reports are now posted at https://grodog.blogspot.com/2025/04/the-grodog-thither-and-hither-and-points-between.html
As always, GaryCon was a fun time, made even more fun by gaming with and visiting many friends and colleagues there!
2: A new post in my blog that's a mixture of campaign-update and some noodlings on Pholtus:

Enjoy!
Allan.
Thank you, these are awesome. I need to get to GaryCon one of these years...
You're quite welcome!
GaryCon is great fun, but if you're looking for a smaller-scale con where you can play games alongside TSR designers, the I highly-recommend the North Texas RPGCon (June each year in Dallas, TX).
Allan.
I should go to that one too. I need to get out more as I am getting into more things to shill.
This may sound like an odd question but is there room for new people to attend GaryCon? I thought I remembered seeing a blog post a couple years ago saying that it's pretty much sold out every year and folks who attended the convention in the past get priority for tickets in subsequent years (though I don't know if that's some sort of VIG level or just normal entry).
Today I was sent a video about a GaryCon panel and it is so weird that I now am thinking of not going.

I am kind of weirded out by Yochai Gal. He seems a bit arrogant here and has an attitude like he is a major mover and shaker in the OSR? Maybe I am missing something, first Cairn was a bit like ephemera and I have no interest in the 2nd incarnation. Could just be me, I am not seeing his importance over dozens of other small publishers.
