As an ongoing thread, let's see what you're playing now or what you've just bought for your gaming horde.
I just purchased Shattered Union for the X-Box. It's a turn based wargame simulating a Civil War in the US around 2012. The overall strategic level is represented by a Risk-like territory map. Actual combat is performed on a hexgrid with tanks, infantry, artillery, and aircraft represented. It's somewhat similar to Dai Senryaku Tactics. I'm still playing with this one trying to figure out an effective way to play.
Other than that, I've mostly been playing my portables lately. Field Commander takes up my time on my PSP (although it's been a couple of days since I played). It's a turn based tactical wargame. If you've played Advance Wars on the GBA, imagine a non-cartoony graphically revved up version of that game.
I'm also messing around with New Super Mario Bros on my Nintendo DS. I'm not very far in, because I suck.
Other than that, Lineage II acts as a massive timesink.
I've been hooked on Oblivion since the day it came out :)
-O
Oblivion + FFXI = No Social Life.
I've reinstalled Football Manager 2006. It's that time of year.
WoW.
Oblivion failed to hold my interest.
I don't do new games very often. My gaming time is currently divided among Lego Star Wars (with the kids), Neverwinter Nights (there are so many modules to download!), and Civ 3 (heavily modded). When Civ 4 comes out for the mac, that will probably take up a good chunk of my time.
D&D Online..... it's like online "self-harm" :(
I finally got around to installing X-Men Legends II on my new copmuter, so I've been playing that. Heroes of Might and Magic V has seen quite a bit of play time as well.
Beyond that, I haven't touched Oblivion since I beat the main storyline over a month ago. It didn't hold my interest after that. I am looking forward to Titan Quest later this month and Marvel Ultimate Alliance in the fall. There's a possibility I may start back up my City of Heroes/Villains account once I'm back from my honeymoon as well, but trainings may start then so that remains to be seen. I'll likely just stick with X-Men for the time being.
Playing Oblivion, Far Cry and LEGO Star Wars on the PC.
I bought a DS Lite this week so I'm playing Advance Wars on it.
Finished the main story in Oblivion and started doing some quests but then I got side tracked.
So lately my gaming life has been flip flopping between Outlaw Golf 2, and Psi-Ops for xbox, older games but I never finished them off the first time around.
running through GTA: San Andreas. again.

Ahh! Ahh! You're leading yourself on the path to violence! Stop the madness now!
:heh:
Civ 4: Fall from Heaven II mod - D&D Fantasy Civ for the win
I got NFS: Most Wanted but I haven't really played with it.

Same Here, I am gunning for 100%, But it is freaking hard as hell.
City of Villians/City of Heroes. Can't do it much at the moment because YotZ is taking up most of my free time (not that I'm complaining at all
We have a Nutkinlander/Nothinglander supervillain group on Infinity that's always recruiting (not much of a base yet) and my hero group on Liberty is also recruiting (we have teleporters and worktables/bins, but nothing more yet). Both are PvE

I need to log into Infinity to get my character in the Nutkin/Nothing guild....I'm just having so much fun with my scrapper on Liberty right now...
Regarding CoH, is anyone on Protector? Just asking in case I ever resubscribe.
Lately, I've been doing some classic gaming. I've been playing my Atari 5200 quite a bit. Plus, my classic gaming collection has a brand new addition, a Colecovision system. I don't have many games for it yet, so I'm playing a lot of Omega Race, Gorf, Smurf, Pepper II, and Donkey Kong.

What's your global ID? I'll keep an eye out for you
Just picked up GTA: Liberty City Stories... It is good to be back in the ole Town.
Still playing the Catan computer game, :) not great in that it only works single player unless your playing it online with at least one player who has paid $30 However it's great for playing while I'm im'ing or surfing boards etc.
Quote from: Harry JoyI'm sitting around waiting for NWNII.
Yup, same here. That will be stealing a whole lotta time from me.
Civ 4
F.E.A.R.
Freelancer
Plenty of ROMs (Rock N' Roll Racing and U.N. Squadron being the main offenders)
Lineage II continues to suck my time away.
I got an Odyssey 2 system and a multicart a couple of weeks ago. I've been playing a lot of KC Munchkin and UFO. A friend and I also discovered a little game called Smithereens which is surprisingly awesome.
After flipping through True 20 and seeing the capsule setting of "Mecha Versus Kaiju," I returned to my own nearly identical idea. I pitched it to a few people and got told it sounded "boring and stupid," and basically had my hopes of a cool Robotech/Gundam versus Godzilla game dashed.
I'm back to flipping a bit through BESM d20. It sort of dawned on me that classes and levels have no place in the game, and it's a pure point build system. That got me thinking of some other changes I'd like to make to the engine. Maybe I'll give it another go.

I *think* it's Starburn1.
(Sorry for the month-late response, but I haven't been on since the end of July and somehow I got my Nutkinland e-mails accidentally set as spam. :imsorry: )
I hope to get back into the game this weekend at the latest.
Civ 4 Warlords
MTW 2 when it comes out.
Civ 4
Gran Turismo 4
I picked up Dungeon Siege II: Broken World the other day and reinstalled DSII and started playing it again. I'm enjoying it immensely. With that and Titan QUest, I'm falling in love again with that Diablo style of play.

It's not that - I've just tried to add it to my global friends list and you don't exist :(
If anyone else is in City of Villians, we've just had a base redesign and we now have Power, Control and Enhancement storage

Hmmmm...I'll have to get on and check it out then.
I'm still playing BZ Flag...
http://www.bzflag.org/
And, another entry. I kinda forgot I was in the electronic games section last time.
Since then I've been just randomly messing around with multi-carts for classic systems, and sampling games I never got to play back in the old days.
I'm on a bit of a Lineage II break. I'll probably pick it back up next week. That's part of the problem I have with MMORPGs. I can't keep up the intensity all the time. Some times I want to play several days a week, other times I want to just play a little on the weekend, and yet other times I just want to give it a week off and do something else. The problem it creates is that any friends I make are so much higher level than me when I get back that it doesn't make any sense for me to adventure with them.
Oh well. I have one buddy who always keeps a character or two around that are my level.
Last week I got Tekken: Dark Resurrection for the PSP. I'm really happy with it. The PSP is the best portable game system available, and this game is an excellent example of why. It has almost everything from Tekken 5 for the PS2 in it and more. It's damn fun to play. And, it has damn good graphics. Not good graphics "for a portable" but damn good graphics period. If anyone has a PSP and is sitting on the fence about this game, you have my hearty recommendation. If you like Tekken at all, you should already have it.
I'm looking forward to getting Super Robot Taisen for the GBA (my damn copy hasn't gotten here YET!), Xenosaga III, Spectral Souls... actually, there are a ton of games this upcoming holiday season I'm interested in.
Still playing Civ IV, this time with Napoleon. Looks like a Culture or Space victory.
Europa Universalis II.
American McGee's Alice.
Old games makes me nostalgic.
Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood. The absolute BEST WW2 FPS out there!

It's not THAT old ;)
Quote from: GabrielIt's not THAT old ;)
Well it was released to the market on December 6th of 2000, so it's almost 6 years old, wich in hardware (both luckily and sadly)means old.:(
I've been messing around with Legends of Wrestling II for the X-box. A friend tells me it sucks but it's the only wrestling-based console game I have and the only other one I've played is the original Legends of Wrestling, so its hard for me to draw my own conclusion regard some parts of the game.
I've recently bought a Dreamcast via eBay... which enables me to play again the glorious game that is Double Dragon (http://youtube.com/watch?v=CNpf0iIrX4Y)!
Pretty much only portable stuff on the electronic front ... Advance Wars 2, Summon Night, Wario World 4, a few others, all GBA titles.
On the PC, I still haul out the last couple of GTA titles now and then. Both are long-beaten, but the sandboxy goodness means that if I want to veg for 20 minutes just driving around and smashing into stuff while cranking tunes, there they are, and god bless 'em for it.
I'm almost entirely a FTF gamer, but I do carry my Gameboy everywhere, so that's where my computer-gaming happens nowadays. I basically stopped playing PC games when editors stopped paying me to :)
I'm wasting my time with Dwarf Fortress. Damn game is an exercise in frustration, but I can't stop.
Finished American McGee's Alice last night, so currently searching my collection to see what to play now.
Check out my review.
Vampire the Mascarade Bloodlines, and Neverwinter Nights (again, hope to actually finish it this time).
Ragnarok Online, Lineage II C4...
great MMORPG's from asia...
off the net i'am playing a great strategy game called ROME: TOTAL WAR...
waiting to the day that MEDIEVAL: TOTAL WAR II comes out...

It's kind of a shame that the original arcade game seems almost lost to the mists of the late 80s. The version most people are familiar with is the absolutely atrocious, any similarity is purely unintentional, NES adaptation.
There was a VERY cool version made for the GBA a few years back. It was so good it almost makes up for that old NES cart.
Sometimes I try to find the Genesis version of the game. It certainly seems like the best home version short of arcade emulation.

Good lord, how do you have time for 2 MMORPGS???
I need to open up my shop this week and sell some SSD/crack. :)
Civilization IV, to the detriment of both work and sleep. In fact, I should be playing now, but I have some massive cd burning to do instead.

Even better, how da fuck do you got time for 2 MMORpgs and your girlfriend?:p
