I'll be honest; it already takes me three times longer to set up a game session on a good 2D VTT (which I only use because that group is too geographically spread out to play any other way).

I have zero desire to devote even more effort (much less surrender design to vagaries of AI) to run games in a setting that devolves even more of the imagination in players' heads to a computer.

If it works, sell it to WotC for a big payout. I'm sure they'd love it for their new soulless microtransaction online play edition.

I agree.  I already have Fantasy Ground for the few times I run games online and I dont need anything else and it doesn't do anything I cant already do for the most part.

A kickstarter...

Which means no guarantee of EVER delivering anything...

hit me up when it's a finished product and not just opium dreams and even then why would I want this? Lot's of times we end up playing Theater of the Mind over roll20, which we use for those times we REALLY need to move tokens around and measure distances.

Hahaha, I apologize for the misunderstanding caused by my previous communication. We might be the farthest thing from a corporate entity. We simply chose to progress in this manner because of the positive reception we received in Turkey. Our main focus doesn't have a direct connection to AI in the AR aspect, although we did implement AI in the mapping section. However, if you have reservations about this aspect, we would gladly remove it. If a community could provide us with thoughts and guidance, we'd be more than willing to proceed according to your preferences. Is there a community we could get in touch with? Could you provide insights into what you want and what you're against? We will shape our ongoing project accordingly.

And that sounds like it belongs as one of the circles of Hell to me. I don't want to some VR abomination to do the visualization. I want my and the players' imaginations to do that. I don't want to RP in the first person, I prefer playing in the 3rd person ("my character says this. My character does that."

I get it. You're super stoked about your idea. I just don't think you're going to find anyone else here who is.

You want to design me a useful product, design me a tabletop where I can draw freehand with a pen/eraser on a surface like I do on my gridded white board in a live game and translate that in real time to a VTT surface my players can see (and a quick erase button so I can clear the scene without a paper towel and a spritzer bottle).

VR/AI is the LAST thing I'm interested in.

I don't do webcams for my VTT play, and already have Foundry and Fantasy Grounds to handle the actual virtual tabletop aspect so this's probably a poor fit for my group, but I do still wish it the best.  If nobody makes attempts at pushing any boundaries, the market will never grow.

The situation with us is that Foundry and Fantasy Grounds have better technology and a stronger community presence. I believe that we will provide you with even more than what you have with those 2 VTTs.

I'm going to be honest.  I don't have an interest in the masks thing, what I would like to see is something that I haven't seen other VTTs do yet.  Maybe some do and I just haven't witnessed it but here it is.
I would like to see more dice rolling options with macros other than D20 based, more importantly different colored dice in the same roll. Some systems like Year Zero and Savage Worlds have different dice in the same roll and I haven't  seen any VTTs let you designate different colors to those.  Paleomythic also needs a different colored die in the six-sided dice pool.  It would be nice to be able to designate that and put it as a macro and just hit a button for a particular roll.

If you guys could do basically what the other VTTs do with map boards and tokens and also have this request, then I would be on board.
