Post by: JongWK on December 07, 2007, 04:24:34 PM
Story here (http://kotaku.com/gaming/come-to-daddy/shadowrun-mechwarrior-safely-with-fasa-founder-331022.php) and here (http://www.smithandtinker.com/news/).

QuoteSmith & Tinker is pleased to announce that it has licensed from Microsoft the electronic entertainment rights for Mr. Weisman's previous creations of MechWarrior, Shadowrun, Crimson Skies and the other properties of the FASA catalog. We're not quite ready to announce our plans for each property, but please be assured that our goal is to surprise and delight old fans, while welcoming new fans to these fantastic worlds.

*Does victory lap*

Which is a big "Huzzah!" Although the FPS Shadowrun game was okay, I'd really like to see a good Shadowrun RPG a la Mass Effect. A cool new BattleTech game would be awesome as well.

I would like to see new ones of each...taking advantage of new technology and finding people who actually care about the license.

Eh.  This is Jordan Weisman we're talking about.  Inside of a month he'll have already sold off the new company to someone else.
