This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Quote from: jcfiala;418381I recently got a copy at NeonCon, and it's really a lovely set.

Any suggestions for setting it up as a demo/convention game, Jared?

Read the game, then create user profiles, a MRCZ profile and situations/memory mash-ups with all the users at the table. It's not hard at all! Just follow the steps as written and in order.

You can start from scratch and play a compelling session in about four hours. 1.5 hours to setup and the remainder to play.

And thanks for checking out FreeMarket.

Hi folks,

My group is considering playing Fmkt soon. Any tips for a noob group of 3 or 4 people ? Any problematic rule found, or rule tweak you found interesting ? Any play aid or helpful techniques ?

Thanks!

Why not just make a game about San Francisco hipsters trying not to look like they are trying?
You can shake your fists at the sky. You can do a rain dance. You can ignore the clouds completely. But none of them move the clouds.

Because that would have nothing to do with Freemarket, much like your post.

Hey, Silva.

It's best to just play it and see how it goes, then ask me some questions about what went wrong/right rather than try and predict what may happen.
