Title: [rant] R6 Vegas - There's more than one map!
Post by: Stumpydave on May 16, 2007, 02:16:32 AM
Attack and Defend, one of the most tactical gametypes. Communicate or lose, that's what it boils down to.  But try getting a game on any map other than Calypso Casino.  Every fucking A&D match, Calypso Casino.

I don't know why, it's a fairly pedestrian map.  Shooting slot machines is fine but the game always comes down to Attackers get briefcase to helicopter pad.  Retreat to roof until last seconds when they'll drop the intel for maximum XP.

Why can't defenders pick up the intel?  And why is it always fought in Calypso fucking Casino!?!?!?!?!

Because online FPS players are by and large unimaginative smacktards, who play those same levels over and over again because knowing them like the back of their hand allows them to make up for actual skill.

It was the same in Counter strike with that bloody Dust map - though they at least switched to Dust 2 occasionally:rolleyes: .  The worst (before now) has to be Avalanche on Day of Defeat.  Nice map, winnable by both sides, but when you get servers that laud themselves on only playing that one effing map....
