Title: [Old PC] Chaos League
Post by: One Horse Town on July 06, 2008, 12:04:21 PM
Has anyone played this old title based on Bloodbowl? Is it any good?

A couple of times i've thought about picking it up, then forgotten about it again.

It's a lot of fun, it's based on blood bowl - but it plays nothing like blood bowl.  The game is real time which creates a lot of chaos on the field.  In single player mode you can pseudo pause the action, but it's still not a turn-by-turn game by any means.

Ironically now that the dust has settled Cyanide Studios has signed a deal with Games Workshops and they are putting out a Blood Bowl video game and it looks so far to be amazing and true to form.   That's out due later on this year.

If you can get Chaos League for cheap it's certainly worth it as a time filler.  It is fun and I did play the hell out of it.  But ultimately it just made me miss playing Blood Bowl all the more.

Thanks! Sadly i've only got 512mb of Ram and a 32 mb graphics card, so i very much doubt i'll be able to run the new game!

I can get CL for £6.99. So i might give it a shot.

You may have trouble running this game.  I don't recall what the min specs were, but I do recall that I had higher then the min specs and still some graphics chunked at times.
