Title: [Naval Wargames for Old Farts] Roman Seas

By Eric Hotz, he of Harnmaster.

Ancient wargames usually leave me cold, but man do I wish I had the manual skillz and patience it takes to assemble those paper models.

Check out the Enfilade 2006 gallery and the historical port diorama. Drool.

Very nice.

When I have time, though, I should post a pic of the cardboard & toothpick Greek trireme I made back in 7th grade.

You mean minis as in ships?

I tremble at the thought of what a 1/300 pewter trireme might retail for. On the website, EH says a small fleet would cost around $1000.

But fuck, I´ve seen some way these go for just 1 or two bucks. Something like flattened, elliptical bases...if I only could find it...

The first ones are tres cool. Not even THAT expensive... for those who, unlike me, know how to paint.
