This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

I refer back to my post #13 and the company's response.

Can't get much more miserable than a starving, naked child stalked by vultures!

Honestly, by Story Games standards, that's not so bad. :rotfl:

Could be worse.  Could be jeepform.
"In a way, the Lands of Dream are far more brutal than the worlds of most mainstream games. All of the games set there have a bittersweetness that I find much harder to take than the ridiculous adolescent posturing of so-called \'grittily realistic\' games. So maybe one reason I like them as a setting is because they are far more like the real world: colourful, crazy, full of strange creatures and people, eternal and yet changing, deeply beautiful and sometimes profoundly bitter."

What the hell is a "fifteen side die"?  Platonic solids have even numbers of sides.

Could be a d30 with the numbers doubled 1-15. Or with digital dice rollers you can do any range of numbers now. Maybe that is what is meant?

I thought there was a Zocchi die for that already. I know that I'm gonna alpha-test Welfare Queens w/ my friends one day though. We might even bust out the "truth or dare" Jenga for task resolution.
Just make your fuckin\' guy and roll the dice, you pricks. Focus on what\'s interesting, not what gives you the biggest randomly generated virtual penis.  -- J Arcane

You know, people keep comparing non-TSR D&D to deck-building in Magic: the Gathering. But maybe it\'s more like Katamari Damacy. You keep sticking shit on your characters until they are big enough to be a star.

It's a Socratic solid.

You folks are pretty good sports coming into 'enemy' territory and all.  Best of luck with your games and your company!

That's possible.  It might even be a good idea.  I've probably mentioned before, but I would rather have a 'spherical' die than a spindle die.  The spindle shape is cool and all, but from a d10 up, they are virtually unreadable, and I can't imagine they are actually a fair die.  But those damn Greeks messed everything up and now we can't have nice things.  ;)
