Title: Learning History Through Miniature Battles
Post by: Pseudoephedrine on October 31, 2007, 08:13:41 PM
I just heard about "Junior General" which is a set of free wargames intended to teach kids about military history. It looks kind of neat all on its own, but it also has tons of files for printable paper soldiers (and terrain) that you can cut out and use. The pictures are pretty simple but functional, and include everything from Tyrannosaurs to knights, barbed wire, lizard men and elephant grass. Might be a good place for anyone to look if they need some figures for a battle but don't want to shell out for miniatures.

You can find the website at: http://www.juniorgeneral.org/

Edit: I fucked up the thread title. Whoops. Should be "Learning History..." That's how it was pitched over on Metafilter.com, where I heard about this.
