Anyone interested (http://www.deliantra.net/index.html)? They have clients for Windows, Linux and OSX, but the graphics are Ultima Online-ish. 2D-isometric, but they claim their environment is enormous. It is likely pretty sparse at the moment, so opportunities should abound.
Who wants to schedule a couple of hours a week or so to meet up and do some damage?
I wonder how they pay their fees
if its anything like other free mmo's that ive played then account hacking wil be a major issue sooner or later, even if they introduce some kind of keypad login hackers seem to find a way around them on those sort of mmo's.
i'll give it a shot though at some point once ive got a few spare hours.
Dang, my 'puter won't run it, in needs OSX 10.5 and I have 10.4 :(

Have you tried it? The differences should be minimal between the two.
Yeah, it says I need OSX 10.5, there's a lot of new stuff that won't run on 10.4 (like Spore...grrrr.)

Suck. I could have sworn that 10.0 -> 10.1 was the really big change, then 10.1 -> 10.2 was a big change, but everything after that was maintenance upgrades, more or less.
Sure, SB! Maybe...maybe on Wednesday? I'm off Wednesdays, now.
You guys still doing this? I'm considering, but don't want to crash an existing party...
As far as I am concerned, this is an open party. You don't even have to bring your own bottle. :)
The downside is, in addition to some other irritations I have with KDE4, the one time I tried to run the client, my X-server puked, shut down, then made me log back in. Not a good start, but I have some other issues with Kubuntu 8.10 at the moment. I may try it again as the weekend approaches, but my next big project is either getting KDE4.1 or dumping my data, wiping the drive, and starting fresh with Kubuntu 8.04.
I tried running it to see what it does and it broke.
That bodes ill. I think this endeavor was cursed from the start.
I found another one out of Italy called PlaneShift (http://www.planeshift.it/), but the graphics requirements look a bit higher.
Maybe. Again, I'll be home tomorrow, but I'll have stuff to do.
