This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). WooHoo!  It's here!  It's here!

Must resist urge to not go to work and sit in my pants all day managing an obscure football club.

Anyone else finding it harder than previous editions? Or maybe it's that my home team (Dundee) are just accurately portrayed now ;)

No, it really is bloody difficult.  I've actually decided that I'm not going to play it until the training cheat comes out.  It's too tough and it's not exactly great fun losing all the time.

I lost my faith in football manager games after I invested a whole summer into Player Manager on the Commodore Amiga, and got royally fucked over mid-season with bugs...

Is there some sort of bug when it comes to red and yellow cards? My players seem to be picking up an awful lot of them - even the non-aggressive ones :(

So, are any of you guys drafting lighter, faster safeties to fill a Cover-2 pass coverage scheme, or are you all going with the normal run-support guys and relying on your cornerbacks to...

Oh.  It's that kind of football.  Never mind.

Yes... it's real football.  It features a game you play with a ball and your feet.

Speaking of wich, I'm playing it right now, and fuck I'm about to be eliminated from Champions Cup, in the group's stage, and I'm playing with "Los Merengues":(

Mr. Analytical

Yeah, it's not as easy as previous years.

I'm playing with chelsea to get my feet wet and while I'm top of the Premiership, I'm hanging on by the skin of my teeth and thanks to some unorthodoz tactical deployments against Manchester United.

I was thinking of the game the old bladder-ball thing evolved into.  It's cool that people are still playing the old thing, though.  How many points do you get when an uninjured player crashed to the ground grimacing and clutching his leg, anyway?  I didn't understand the scoring for that when I watched the World Cup.

I picked Chelsea for a game (for a laugh). Found that I won the league pretty easily (with Spurs snapping at my heels until about 6 games from the end) but was crippled in the Champions League because of the yellow/red card bug :(

Yeah, I'm also getting a lot of yellow cards, but the thing that really fucked were the injuries.

I've stopped playing for the moment - well, until the patch is released.
