Who's got it, is it the suckiest suck ever to suck, or is it like, totally the best game evar?
Inquiring minds want to know!
"Played" it in the original Japanese. It was ten pounds of ass crammed into a five pound sack, then tucked between two slices of fresh-toasted ciabatta.
(I put quotes around played because the motherfucker PLAYS ITSELF. The mouthbreathers at the game magazines can spooge all they want to; what we have here is a $50 CG movie aimed at all the girls who picked up VII because "Sephie-chan is teh KAWAII!")
No, not bitter at all. Why do you ask? :)
Lol

I know someone who likes XII, but she fits that description. ;)
My lady is playing it. It's super-pretty.
She agrees that it damn near plays itself, but considers that a good thing (I don't, myself).
Does it play itself anymore than installments like VIII or IX did? I enjoyed both of those, in spite of the fact that I felt like I was consuming a very elaborate Choose Your Own Adventure book from my childhood.
And, yeah, that's how far out of the loop on these flashin' lights and whistles games I am.
Yeah, it does. You turn on the "gambit" system and the computer handles the combat for you. Any time we ran into a boss we couldn't beat, the computer would do just fine.
Honestly, I think the Japanese "v-novel" is the future of gaming. You just watch the game play itself, make a handful of decisions and watch one of a dozen or so endings. Like P&M said, Choose Your Own Adventure with a pretty, new hat.
Yuck.
The good thing is that there are still fine, oldschool games coming out. You just have to look a little harder than you used to.

"So, the game just plays itself?" "Yes, the game is masturbating."
