I remember a game I played back when I was in college (circa 1991 or so). It was a fantasy game. You could only save games when you were in an inn. In combat, it was turn based and your character's perception could tell you whether the enemy was blocking high, mid, or low. I found Darklands, but that isn't it. I seem to recall it had character classes like knight. If I remember correctly, if you didn't have enough money to pay for a room at the inn, you could wake up robbed while staying in the common room too.
Anyone have an ideas or suggestions on what it might be?

Ultima Underworld, possibly.
Someone suggested Knights of Legend on rpgnet. I think that's the game. And now I cannot find a copy online. Grrrr!
Yep, that is the game.
It was probably abandoned by the original authors. You may be able to find it on a site that discusses abandoned software products like that.
;)
In fact, you might even "search for 'knights of legend abandonware' on google".
Wait...was that too obvious?

Not by much. :)

The problem you might find, assuming one might have taken that route, could be that the few sites that indicate they carry it either do not, require registration and or payment to download, or are just place holders.
