Please stop using the word rape to describe how you bested someone in a game. I get that you think it's cool. It's not.

I prefer my victories to be characterized as merciless slaughter where my game enemies are crushed, destroyed, and ground into the blood-spattered dust.  Savage butchery?  Sure!  But no rape.  Maybe some rapine, though, depending on what we're playing.

GW must have gotten teabagged by a 12 year old in a shooter.

How about let's show our righteous fury for, for example, Saudi Arabia, where there indeed is no "no for an answer" in marriage, rather then bother with online snarks?

This thread has about as much to do with gaming as BADD had with D&D.

In the end - grow a pair. People screaming insults on the Internet? Yeah, it's offensive, and I don't do that, but for fuck's sake, those are just words. Save your anger, you Tangency warriors, for the causes that deserve to be angry about.

By asking guys to stop using the term "Get raped", or variations thereof, you agree to do one of two things:

1) Make guys not talk shit to each other (you can't do this)
2) Make rape not emasculating (you can't do this)

Don't worry, I assure you that the entire adolescent male population of the world will hold up their end of the bargain when you hold up yours.

It's a slang referring to IHC - Greek spelling of first letters from his name. Most commonly attributed meaning is Jesus Christ Saviour, as it can be also written IHS

Oh, okay.  I'm familiar with the IHC/IHS abbreviation based on the Greek.  Never connected that with the "Jesus H. Christ" thing, though.  (Probably because I think of the abbreviation as being iota-eta-sigma, so I don't really think of the eta as an English H.)  I get it now, though.

Not US specific, Rince... for one, not having rainforests of their own, the US will have a hard time competing with Brazil on the deforesting department.

As for volunteering, allow me to suggest a hospital close to your home or workplace, with a structured volunteership program.

I think it's a bullshit word choice because, by definition, nobody agrees to be raped. There's no consent.

However, if you step in to a deathmatch arena, you are agreeing to kill and be killed. There is automatically consent, else there wouldn't be a deathmatch.

I'm going to be a tremendous asshole here and return to comment on this.  You are calling us "vile" because we're making fun of the OP for being oversensitive.  We're not downplaying the experiences of rape victims.  We're not saying that women deserve to be raped.  We're not saying that women who are raped are bad people.  We're saying that getting upset over the use of the term "rape" is stupid because it is a word.  It is a word on the Internet.

Meanwhile, you post on a forum that hates your wife.  They hate her religious beliefs, they hate that she's going to Seminary, and they hate her moral convictions.  They see her as an enemy to their goals, an enemy of "their" society, and they want to silence her.  They see her as ignorant and backwards and bigoted, and they hate her.  Do you understand me?  They hate her.

And we're the vile ones for telling someone to get over the use of the word "rape."

I think it would be better for gaming and, in a lot of cases - especially the kids that end up using these words without much thought, if there was a bit more sensitivity. People here might be smart enough (no guarantee though!) to get away with making fun my post, but i believe many, unfortunately, aren't.
