Back in the 2000s I remember seeing a copy of Yaoi Hentai at my local Barnes & Noble in the manga section next to all ages titles. The cover had a dude undressing, but no rainbows. It was as unsubtle as you could get without depicting sexual acts on the cover. It was a gay drawn porn comic, obviously.

I don't remember hearing any outrage over that, or people saying you had to buy it to prove your loyalty. How times have changed.

Its not.  It started in reddit, got deleted for violating the no politics rules and then embraced and reposted by Catalyst on their social media.

No more Battletech products for me.  I am done with them.

In August of last year, Battletech fired a writer than had been writing Battletech novel for 37 years because his some social media posts. So this doesn't surprise me at all.

The rot was already in the more recent books, just not smack dab on the cover; It'll be easier to avoid now for folks not in the know or just starting out.

I think Heavy Gear is a good mech wargame/TTRPG competitor with neat lore but I'm holding my breath on making any purchases until they release the 4th edition of their TTRPG, So I can see what it's all about first.

I tried to paint miniatures when I was younger but the skill was beyond me. Also, moving house so many times means I don't have many of my physical possessions anymore. I would love if there was some way to store painted miniatures digitally.
