This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Fantasy Flight Games has released an official statement on the matter.

With the announcement of Runewars Miniatures Game, one can only speculate if this was a planned move. As we all know, Fantasy Flight Games stopped producing products for their WFRP Third Edition line sometime ago. This leaves open a question of whether or not Games Workshop plans to relicense Warhammer - specifically the fan-favorite Old World - to another company.

That being said, ZWEIHÄNDER Grim & Perilous RPG - its spiritual successor/retroclone/loveletter/heartbreaker/OSR - lives at GrimandPerilous.com. Call it what you will, but ZWEIHÄNDER will feel familiar to players of WFRP 1e and 2e. We funded over at Kickstarter @$61K, were featured on Forbes.com and are accepting late pledges at CrowdOx until October 31. You can even get a taste of our adaptation of Warhammer 40K in the GM section with our Dark Astral expansion!

Warhammer's not dead; it's world lives on through its fans and it can easily be adapted to ZWEIHÄNDER Grim & Perilous RPG ruleset. Come see what the community is doing over at http://grimandperilous.com/
No thanks.

I find it very fitting that I can define my feelings on the matter as sheer Schadenfreude.

Wonder whether we'll see a WFRP 4e, and what's it going to look like.

Even the the "cutting edge" storygamers for all their talk of narrative, plot, and drama are fucking obsessed with the god damned rules they use. - Estar

Yes, Sean Connery\'s thumb does indeed do megadamage. - Spinachcat

Isuldur is a badass because he stopped Sauron with a broken sword, but Iluvatar is the badass because he stopped Sauron with a hobbit. -Malleus Arianorum

"Tangency Edition" D&D would have no classes or races, but 17 genders to choose from. -TristramEvans
