I'd probably be more impressed with that if it didn't come largely from the most deliberate and prolific viral spam campaign since the Forge.

Try cutting the 4chan spam down to maybe once a week, and we'll see how well you do.

I will just note here that pkapera posted this in the RIGHT forum, in the right way, and has not been spamming theRPGsite at least.

This is the NEWS and ADVERTS forum, it is exactly what it is for! It seems odd to me going apeshit on a guy for posting an ad in the place where you're allowed to post an add.

That said, Pkapera, this is a free-speech kind of site and people are allowed to criticize your marketing, even if it has been done on other forums.
At least think of it this way: at least they're talking about you.

Oh, I was just poking fun at the claim of being #1 on some blog somewhere, you are correct he posted it to the right place HERE.

It was more the posting it every 2-3 hours for the last week on 4chan that got under my collar.

And the fact that for all the deliberate shilling, the game itself is nothing more than a bastard spawn of 3e with 4e powers and a lot of typical fantasy heartbreaker bullshit about how it promotes better roleplaying or some shit like that.

Admittedly it's a bit bombastic, but it's the only podcast (that we know of) built for that specific purpose, so we thought it was fitting.

Really? If so, it wasn't by me, or by any of our staff. I've never even visited 4chan before today, and that was only to see if something strange was going on. (There's nothing about us in the first several pages, as of now.)

We create and release targeted marketing blurbs and we're careful not to do so more than once a week unless there's a huge amount of news (the only time I can remember that happening recently was just before Gen Con, which didn't seem that big a deal as everyone was hyper-posting at the time).
