Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Whilst the partnership with Cubicle 7 has helped BoL reach a far wider audience than would have been possible on my own in the last three years, I've decided to review my options for BBGs best-selling role playing game. To this end, the partnership between Beyond Belief Games and Cubicle 7 to print and distribute Barbarians of Lemuria has been terminated. Cubicle 7 will continue to sell remaining stocks (so get them quick if you want a copy!) but once they're gone, they're gone.

At the moment, I don't know what's next for BoL. Maybe a new super-improved edition, with all-new art and incorporating some of the changes that have been suggested on various forums and elsewhere? If that's the case, I will probably be looking into the possibility of a new partnership with an established publisher; so if anyone has an interest, I'd be willing to talk. PM me.

I don't know what the future of BoL will be, but in the meantime, look out for BoL through LULU again in the coming months. Lulu does some lovely hardcover books and it's always been a shame that BoL wasn't available for the last three years in hardcover. I'd like to at least remedy that.

Could you maybe look into using drivethru instead of lulu? i dont like using lulu unless i absolutely have to and drive through does hardbacks so...

I think i shall await your decision about that super improved edition before i decide to pick a copy up though as no doubt it'll be the best option for barbaric gaming when compared to the current edition :)

A newly revised version could be cool (though I love the current one). My concern would be if 'suggested changes' add complexity and rules; this could ruin BoL. I haven't seen any suggestions on the Internet that have made me think 'Wow, that is so much better than the current rules'.

IMO, content that would be well worth adding is more of what is already there: expanding the bestiary to include 'normal' animals; more adventures; more sample spells; examples of alchemical items; etc.

BoL is now available again in hardcover (or softcover) at LULU

Are you going to keep the German edition with Ulisses Spiele?  I really like the layout of that edition.  For those that would like to check it out, there are page excerpts available for download on that page.  The map there is a good one to use in general.

Any comment I add to forum is from complete boredom.

They had a 5-year licence which doesn't run out until 2015. It has recently been extended to include the sale of pdfs.

Thanks for the update on that edition Simon!
