This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

We're getting to just over a week until our current 5e Creature Decks Kickstarter wraps up!  We're heading toward a stretch goal to make a 6th deck of creatures if the project hits $4000 in pledges.

These are very useful because all the creature's needed info is on a card.  You don't need to take the full monster book with you–just the creature cards you need for that session.  We've condensed and abbreviated each creature's stats to fit on one card. (Except the vampire, which has two cards.) Another use for these cards is to use this new art to show your players what they see.  Because the art isn't the same as the monster book's, they won't quite know exactly what creature it is.

We have been regularly previewing some of the new art this project will fund.  Below are a few more samples.  Also, you can pick up a text only (aside from a few sample images) version of the 5e SRD creatures now, free!  We have four decks planned with all the 5th edition SRD creatures, broken down by a couple of creature types per deck.  (All the dragons and monstrosities are in one deck; all the humanoids, undead, giants, & constructs are in another deck; etc.)  In addition, we will have a 5th deck of creatures not in the SRD.  These creatures will mostly be conversions from prior editions.  And if the $4000 stretch goal hits, we'll have a 6th deck of more converted creatures.

Each deck is $6 for a PDF and print-at-cost code, although it you plan to get several the 5th deck and thereafter are $5 each.  What is a print-at-cost code?  We'll send you a code to have the decks printed at cost when they are ready.  This saves us the work of sending all the packages out (the print on demand company is much better/faster at it) and you don't have to pay the full amount up front. (The printing cost will be about $5 per deck.)
