Cool beans.

Any plans for a print + PDF deal?

Man, as sweet as having a .pdf available is, the core book is so sweet looking that it pretty much demands you buy the print version. Even if you have to whore yourself out at the local bus terminal for the cash. The Clap might burn, but the A&8 corebook is so very worth it!

I really want a printed copy of the book, but at the moment it appears to be out of print(their completely out of stock on every uk based site ive checked and the nearest flgs) so a print on demand option or heck more copies available in the uk would be a preferable option to the .pdf which although awesome in theory would only make me want a printed version more.

Slightly off-topic perhaps, but how useful is this book if you're not planning to use the rules?

Not in the near future.  Our print resources are tied up with the new edition of HackMaster at the moment.

Any GMs want to answer this one? :)

Very! It's got a pretty realistic discussion of several things for 19th century gaming. Drugs, Horses, Prospecting, etc, etc...

A good layout of Occupations/Professions that would be good for a glimpse of different jobs in the 19th century USA.

The Cattle Drive/Ranch section pretty much laysout what a character would need to run a Ranch and/or a Cattle Drive. Salaries, exactly who you need, even meal plans/amount of food per Cowboy, etc, etc...

Legal Procedures/Jury Trials...

many, many things!

So, does this mean all the rumors of an actual physical 3rd printing were wrong? My hopes have been up for months. I had been looking forward to getting a print copy of Aces & Eights, but a PDF isn't going to do me much good when I want to actually play it and the Player's Guidebook doesn't quite have everything I'd need.

Sorry about that.  Yes, the 3rd printing has been delayed (there's no release date to offer at this time), hence the release of the PDF now.

The PDF is incredibly helpful, since it's searchable and thoroughly bookmarked.  I'm not sure what the Player's Guidebook wouldn't have that you'd need as a player; it's really just missing the GM-focused material.

I will be getting the PDF soon. Hopefully displayed on an iPad it should be easy enough to use at the game table.

At least the core book is now available in some form. Thanks for clearing that up.
