Malicious code was found on the site, which has been removed, but would have been able to access files and the database, revealing email addresses, posts, and encoded passwords (which would need to be decoded). And as is good practice, remember to never use the same password on more than one site. While performing housekeeping, we also decided to upgrade the forums.
This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Your New Avatar - Why?

I don't normally go in for too much of the mamby, pamby Tangency-esque stuff, but I thought this would be fun and informative.

I'm seeing a lot of new avatars with familiar names. I've changed mine. So why did you change your avatar to it's current state?

My old one was a leaf 'cause I loves me some nature. But it was really old, small, and not a lot of fun. So with the new site, I decided to go for a new look.

I picked a bear 'cause I love bears. When I play shapechanging characters, bear is a popular choice for me. The Gurahl are my favorite oWoD shifters. I've got books on bears, watched DVD documentaries, etc..

And this past weekend, I was up at the family cabin. A bear came around Friday night. I didn't get to see him, but I heard him ("whuff whuff whuff") and I found what could bear tracks up the mountain a bit. Saturday night, I sat watching the Matrix with the door open, camera at the ready, in case he came back.

So I've got bear on the mind.

Plus, I just happen to like my new photo.

So many people seem unhappy when they discuss gaming. I am not. My new avatar is sort of a metaphor for that.

I was toying around with some other images of Mortimer, but felt like I should stick with the tried and true.  I did lift the EGG memorial black armband, just because enough time has passed.

I hope everybody but Stuart can stick with their current avatar.  I associate people with their avatars.  It confuses me when they change, except Stuart, who always changes.

I only changed mine because I was at work and didn't have access to the Han Solo one.

Walkerp, does my habit of aways including a pink tie help you out?

I like Spore.

I'm also using that image as the logo for my new site (which will hopefully go up later this week), so I figured I may as well keep things consistent.

I've been meaning to make an icon for awhile.  This will do for now.

It's my player's characters, from the campaign I'm running, rendered in Order of the Stick style.  From left to right, they are Golden Axe, Brandar the Total Elf, Zoltan Ördög, and Barth Mader.

I just felt like a change, but wanted it still to be a portrait of me.

Ideally it would be me dressed as a Saxon warrior or spaceman or something, or perhaps wearing a Viking Hat, but amazingly I have no such pictures of me lying about :)

So I went over here and made a cartoony one.

Actually there is one of me at about 13 where I'm sitting with a D&D module, perhaps I should use that!

The current Avatar is Barry from Realm of Atland.

I usually try to pick something very serious, because talking about Roleplaying Games on a website message board in our spare time is *serious* business and we need to keep that in mind at all times.:D

My new avatar is actually the one that I created for when I was a member of the sooper seekrit Internet society, Sedes Sub Rosa.  I quit out of embarrassment, but it was a cool av. I'm still a sasquatch in real life, but I was so pleased with the nautilus, I had to put it to better use.  Besides, I've started using it at other sites as well.

I couldn't find my old one.  My old HD died, so I had no local copy, and Google Image Search failed me.  So I picked another like it.

So atheists have been abused, treated badly by clergy or they\'re stupid.They\'re just being trendy because they can\'t understand The God Delusion because they don\'t have the education, plus they\'re just pretending to be atheists anyway. Pundit you\'re the one with a problem, terminal stupidity.

I have at least some 47 or more avatars stored in a file on this computer thats nicknamed "Avatar Parking". The Klingon face & outfit ones are used for the SJG forums, Yottaquest forums, and the CAG forums.
The regular Human face (mostly) are used for this site, D20 Heaven, Midnight's Lair ...etc....

New look site, new look avatar - simple as that really. Although, my old one was from my Tonto RPGnet days, so i figured it needed changing anyhow.
