This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Wu Tang Clan...and Chess?

QuoteWuChess.com claims to be the "the world's first online chess and urban social network", reports the Daily Telegraph.

For £29 a year users can take on other rap fans across the world, set up their own chess "clans", and even earn the right do battle with Wu-Tang Clan members and other chess-loving hip hop stars.

Players can compete to win prizes, or "just for the joy of flexing yer mentals", the website says.

The project is a partnership between Wu-Tang Clan producer RZA and the ChessPark social network.

A slice of any profits will be donated to the Hip Hop Chess Federation, the company says.

I heartily support this.   I hope the schools get involved.

The RZA is a smart dude, this doesn't surprise me.  Pretty cool idea.

I've always wondered what RPGs and settings the RZA would have gotten into if he gamed.

Qin seems like a likely suspect.

Yo, camoflouge chameleon, ninjas scalin' your buildin'
No time to grab the gun, they already got your wife and children
A hit was sent from the President to rage your residence
Because you had secret evidence and documents
On how they raped the continents

I concur; the RZA is a smart man, and definitely the brains behind the Wu-Tang Clan, so I would keep an eye on this venture.
