This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

Vellorian's Political Dream....

McCain and Palin exchange roles--Palin for President and McCain for Vice.

Then, a few days later, Palin realizes what a HUGE liability McCain is for her and opts for a new running mate: Ron Paul.

After a few hours of discussion, Paul and Palin realize that he is better qualified for the role than she is and they switch roles--Paul for President, Palin for Vice.

Now that's something I could actually feel good about voting for.

McStain and Osama are, however, the worst possible options I could imagine...

Then you seriously lack imagination.

Okay, Hitlery would be worse than Osama, granted.

And another 4 years of the Constitution shredding empire-builder would be worse-still.

However, Osama and McStain are horrible options all-around.

Palin is really kind of an anti-Ron Paul.

Paul keeps poking his toe over from Conservative to Libertarian territory, particularly on the economy (less so socially).

Palin is a hard-core social conservative, who is not above having the government poke around a bit in the economy (closer to Huckabee, than anything).  If they were to join forces (such as they are) it would be pure political theater.

Hey, Gleichman.  You know how you occasionally wonder why it is that "the Left" hatches such shrill, hyperbolic crackpots...?

I swear, a quick Google of 'Hitlery' would show the O'Reilly, Limbaugh, Coulter, and Hannity sites all jockeying for the most hits.

Oddly enough, I revile all those people as worthless wastes of skin.

One doesn't have to have neo-con roots to see them as "Hitlery" and "Osama Hussein".  Just basic awareness of truth.

Oh, Lord.  I suppose you have this alleged 'truth'?  Locked up in your basement, perhaps?

Here's a clue, don't go into the OFF TOPIC forum and the bitch and moan like a little bitch that people are yapping it up about OFF TOPIC stuff.

Hell if I know, probably not that swiney diceless monstrosity, though. Pitch it up on a wiki and we'll see what we can get going.

Oh, I see where you are going.  I meant the X2 module, Castle Amber.  Or Chateau D'Amberville.

Oh okay, I'd forgotten about that since I never played or GMed it.

You should start a wiki or at least a thread for it. I mean, derailing a thread about politics started by some guy who calls politicians "Osama" and "Hitlery" barely counts as threadcrapping, so we've no need for shame there - but people might miss it buried in the shit here.
