Let me add my voice to the chorus of bacon love...there is nothing so sublime in my experience than a good BLT.

Although it verges on porcine heresy, I also love to stop by a decent Jewish deli here that makes a lovely Beef Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato sandwich.  Beef bacon is da' bomb!

I've got the Hungarian butcher shop down the road that cuts me the thick slices, either smoked or not.  Man, that's good. When you fry up a lot, the consistency changes depending on how much grease is in the pan.

Dude, although it is not swine in origin, you should enlighten the masses about Montreal smoked meat sandwiches. My family lived in Montreal for many years and they still talk about them.

It's all true.  It's not hype. I live 3 blocks from Schwartz's, which has a near constant line-up of tourists.  So often, the popular thing is usually fairly mediocre, but Schwartz's is the real deal.  I still go there myself around once a month.  That is some killer smoked meat.  It's weird.  It's hard to explain.  I've had Katz's, I've had 2nd avenue deli.  Schwartz's is unique.  There's a great movie about it actually.  I shouldn't even be writing this as my mouth is starting to water.  Also, it's off-topic, because it's beef!
