I really hate that show.

My wife watches that one too.  Every episode I've ever seen ends with 5 minutes of sad music while no one talks to each other, and everyone ignores an opportunity to fix the wrongs they've done.

My wrestling show is less formulaic and that's saying something.

I´m with you. You know, I can appreciate some witty girls stuff, just as my wife can relate to several action flicks, if they are made suspensefully.

But GA is neither witty, nor suspenseful. It´s trite on several levels.

BTW, I can cope with Bush and Rice, I still love the USA.
But I cannot stand, in no way whatosever, "Everybody loves Raymond." Damn you Yankees!

It is morally corrupt, unfunny and the cause of brain damage.
I´ve heard it also causes hair loss and warts.

Hell, I've known men to gouge their eyes out so as to never risk seeing another episode of "Dr. Quinn, Medicine woman."

What's even worse is any random hour of "the lifetime network". Oh god, the horror, the horror......

Maybe you mean a funny new family sitcom?

The Office and Trailer Park Boys are both situational comedies -- but pretty far from Everybody Loves Raymond or Frasier.  I think they're both pretty funny too.

I've noticed that the best sitcoms seem to be the ones that don't have a dubbed-in laugh-track. Like The Office, Scrubs, Malcom in the Middle, Arrested Development, etc.

Anyhow, recent (i.e. within the last 10 years or so) comedy series I find rather amusing include: 'Seinfeld', 'Curb You Enthusiasm', 'The Office' (especially the British version; but solely thanks Steve Carell, the Yank version isn't too bad at all; the French version is ... well, best not to talk about it!), Fawlty Towers (oops, sorry);  Scrubs; 'Black Adder' (sorry again);  and, well ...

And ... Scrubs is 'conditional' ... :p
