I just saw a trailer for this and I can't decide. Super-cool or super-stupid. Leaning toward the latter.
EDIT
I saw this trailer for an upcoming fantasy movie called Priest (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stAfEDSosXc). On the one hand, it has lots of exaggerated super-cool imagery that could be fun to swipe for the gaming table. On the other hand, the imagery is so exaggerated and derivative that it may just be super-stupid. Where is the line to be drawn?
It's a western/martial arts film about a rogue Catholic priests fighting mutated vampires in a post-apocalyptic theocratic dystopia.
Looks like a video game (which I'm betting it's based on).
Comic-book, apparently.
Korean Manwha comic so expect it to be very actioney but abit weak in the plot department(like 90% of korean comic stories).
So turn off your brain and get some popcorn and it will probably be good. :)
I'd rather not make a habit of that.
I have no fucking clue what you're talking about, and doing a search for the word "priest" by itself is unlikely to provide any useful clarification. So either post more information explaining what the fuck you're on about, or I'll be closing this thread as irrelevant to the Pundit's Forum.

It's this. (http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1810133225/info)
I don't know why it's in Pundit's Forum. I thought I put it in Media & Inspiration.
Total crap.
This thread was moved to Pundit's forum, because it was not relevant to the media/inspiration forum, because no one has a clue what the thread is even about. Thus Pundit gets the pleasure to decide what to do with it instead of me simply deleting it, giving the original poster the benefit of the doubt that it has some relevance to this site.
It's about an upcoming movie, so I'd think moving it back to Media would make sense. I think the word "trailer" should have tipped you off. ;)

The first post consists of no actual content to qualify for a new thread, so it would first have to be edited to meet the standards of an actual post.
Edited. It wasn't my intention to create a mystery.
Sorry. Still not good enough as it requires clicking on the link to know what you're talking about. Please describe the movie and/or trailer.

Seems right up RPG nerd alleys to me.
OK. So that at least should be in the first post.
Around 8 to 10 years ago, "Priest" was the cool-trendy comic that many comic-book obssesives thought was really edgy, 'hip' or had good writing.
I haven't seen a new issue in quite a while.
The trailer almost looks too similiar in set-up to the Stallone "Judge Dread" movie in some ways, just done a bit more realistic and with a different and moodier filter on the camera lense.

Awwwwwwwww man Ian McKellen as an evil Bishop!
He must have had fun with that!
You are supposed to be geeky nerds and you haven't heard of Priest .... I bow my head in shame and turn my face from you all.
It's like me saying forthcoming Preacher (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/107951-Preacher-Movie-Nabs-Director-of-I-Am-Number-Four) movie ...good thing or bad thing? and you all not knowing what I was talking about ...
I weep for the state of geekdom.
The reason theres not been a new issue for awhile is its finished(though tokyopop are supposedly reissuing it as multi volume editions) unlike american comics your avarage korean, japanese or chinese comic tends to have an actual ending though it may take years and multiple dosens of volumes to reach that point(i think priest has about 16 volumes which is about right for your usual korean manwha).

Actually that's not Ian McKellen, it's Christopher Plummer.
It looks utterly horrible. Which means I'll probably enjoy it.
And, once again, Brett wins the "biggest stick up the ass" award. Pundit finished a close second in the voting. Oh wait, that's his head up his ass, not a stick....
All it needs is Super-Soakers as viable anti-vampire weapons and you have a perfect RIFTS movie.

The IMDB page for the film is the first thing that comes up in a Google search for "priest".
Not exactly hard to find.
