Hello, tonight's my first time posting and I'm not sure what the etiquette is here for introducing yourself so I'll just do it here.

I'm a refugee from a couple of other sites, including the old Webrpg from years ago, several company or game specific ones and have been using rpgnet less and less.

I've been gaming since the red box basic dnd set from my youth and am hopelessly addicted to Rolemaster, which none of the damned youth of today that i game with have the concentration skills or patience for :confused:  I am also a big CP2020 fan, played some long-term Shadowrun games (mainly 3rd, but one 4th) with a few different things mixed in.

Prior to having kids, I used to do some Cons and even ran a LARP at one (Last Action Hero). My favourite games atm are Feng Shui and Unknown Armies. Locally we haven't had a committed gaming group for nearly two years (I was travelling to Sydney for SR4), and before that it was all Exalted. In the next year we're hoping to kickstart a few new games.

Outside of gaming (well, apart from some miniatures and old board wargames), I'm an old metalhead with a serious fetish for Pink Floyd and Hendrix. I love nearly any movies with vikings, pirates or samurai in them (and Highwaymen), think that Kill Bill is one of the all-time great movies along with This Is Spinal Tap. I'm trying to corrupt my 5 yo son into being a gamer (my wife calls it Nerd), my 6 yo daughter only roleplays Bratz, which are really only good for PvP games

Other past-times include scuba diving, bushwalks, reading, history and body bashing (surfing).

Congrats on weaning yourself from rpg.net and voluntarily cutting back on that pit.

I'm into gurps, love the game, hate most of the company, and SFRPGs in general. I also like sunsets, SF/game conventions and things that can't be discussed here.

Both FS and UA seem to inspire more RP ideas than most of my other systems combined. I keep finding myself wanting to convert nearly everything over to those systems - even Conan for Feng Shui and Soloman Kane for UA. And Bond.
