Because it was the only part of RPG.net that was worth reading - And then it went stupid.
And, as Pundit says, a place full of bad ideas with one good idea - Well, let's yoink the one good idea.
Motivator (http://bighugelabs.com/flickr/motivator.php) - For making motivational posters.

Please
No .
No motivational posters.
on here...
They're often too wide for the viewing window - and too infrequently creative or witty.
This not meant as 'threadcrapping' but more of a plea & warning.
That path was trod and led to botyh mediocrity, madness, and something called bandwidth problems.
- Ed C.
It is lame and tired. Please let's not do it.
Yeah, I'd really prefer we didn't have an actual thread for this. I think that 99% of those posters are stupid. Like the one above, for example. A few are great and hilarious and what have you, but they're really not worth the bucketloads of junk you have to sift through.
I will also note that this would not be the correct subforum for such a thread. It would belong in the Media & Inspiration forum, since its not actually directly about RPGs, its rpg-related media.
RPGPundit
Fuck all y'all, I 'like 'em. Even the bad ones.
And yes, 4e does have pretty art, no question.

Ok, and with that I'm moving this thread.
RPGPundit
Sup, /b/? Can it be 7r4nny time?
The quality of posters in the thread is dependant on the quality of posters on the site.
Cranewing is now on ignore.

I think they are hysterical. (:
......
Do we have a "Go Back to RPG.net" Smiley?
:emot-unwanted:
No but perhaps this will work in its place,
:!pics:
Ok, that was far too brutal. Let's just say I'm in no mood for this right now. Take your lame jokes and try them elsewhere.

Those weren't lame jokes tho.
I think the main problem is the fact that the original thread on RPGnet that people remember acting as a "gateway thread" for many people to discover the tbp. The intial charm and creativity of those things disappeared after about the fiorst 3 or 4 months the thread existed.
Now its just kind of looks stupid and reminds some people (or many) of arguments and flamewars on rpgnet.
The internet moves so fast these days in many ways that those seem like the Mood Rings or pet rocks of RPG internet chatter.
- Ed C.
The 'brutal' remark was on what I first posted. I have had...A horrible couple of days and am in no mood to deal with 'internet people'.

you can still get your motivational poster fix at rpg.net if you want it. Entertaining or not, that's where the thread belongs..
