I saw this movie and was blown away, once again, by the icon that is Clint Eastwood.  The man is a legend in front of and behind the camera.  I had to see this one the movie theater since it will probably be one of the few movies where he is in front the camera anymore.

Going to see this in an hour or so...I'm very much looking forward to it!

I thought it was absolutely awesome and highly recommend it.  His best film in years.

And?

I know I was impressed with it.

Just got back.

I thought it was very good.  The first third of the movie was so-so, dogged by some indifferent acting and a bit of heavy-handedness in the script, but saved by the humor.  It really started picking up after that; the final third of the film was classic Clint.  The plot was fairly predictable, but I had no problem with that, as it was very well constructed.

Overall, not his best, but a very good movie, all the same.  The man still has chops as a director, an actor, and a badass.  I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who asked.

The man is the master of 'the stare.'  He's one grandpa that you wouldn't want to piss off, that's for sure.  LOL

KenHR

Absolutely!  I loved that the first scene was pretty much him just growling at his family during his wife's funeral.

I don't want to give too much away, but there was one particular scene that just blew me away and showed what a master Clint is behind the camera.

It was the kitchen/chair scene.  The audience is taken to this very high emotional state, and then, in-movie, the character actually takes the audience back down from this highly emotionally charged state to a more calm state.  It was freaking masterful!
