This is a site for discussing roleplaying games. Have fun doing so, but there is one major rule: do not discuss political issues that aren't directly and uniquely related to the subject of the thread and about gaming. While this site is dedicated to free speech, the following will not be tolerated: devolving a thread into unrelated political discussion, sockpuppeting (using multiple and/or bogus accounts), disrupting topics without contributing to them, and posting images that could get someone fired in the workplace (an external link is OK, but clearly mark it as Not Safe For Work, or NSFW). If you receive a warning, please take it seriously and either move on to another topic or steer the discussion back to its original RPG-related theme.

It's Oscar time!

I really don't give half a 4 letter word about the oscars. They're really a bunch of snobs, the people wo decide who gets the awards, and they've pretty much openly sworn that no "sci fi" wovie will ever win any of the serious awards, or even be nominated for any. So to hell with them.

Also, if I didn't already feel nothing but rejection for the oscars, the time they basically let jessy jackass intimidate them into giving the oscars out based on race would have made me stop caring about them at all.

Personally, I'd rather follw the golden razzies awards, but those don't get telecast as much.
RPGPundit is a fucking fascist asshole and a hypocritial megadouche.

*sigh*

I'd be lucky to have seen two or three of the nominated films.  Is it just me, or does it seem difficult to find a film that is both good quality and entertaining?

If I had my way, the Oscar for best actor would go to both Forest Whitaker and Ryan Gosling :)
